ESOL Skills for Life - Entry Levels 1, 2 & 3 / Level 1 & 2
The award in ESOL Skills for Life contributes to the Government’s Skills for Life initiative by providing assessment of ESOL which is devised around the standards for adult literacy and the ESOL Core Curriculum. It is designed to cover the standards and curriculum with sufficient range and depth to properly reflect the use of the English language in real world situations, appropriate to the needs of the client groups.
This qualification has a focus on applying language skills in everyday UK situations, emphasising practical application of skills needed to succeed in everyday life and study in the UK.
Information Communication Technology (ICT)
The accreditation for Information Technology aims to enable candidates to:
- develop entry level and level 1 skills in a range of computer software applications
- develop a comprehensive understanding of the safe and effective use of computers
- develop and gain fundamental knowledge and practices of basic information technology
This qualification is suitable for a wide range of people, including absolute beginners and those wishing to refresh their skills at a basic level. It can also be used to build upon knowledge, skills and understanding gained in other entry level programmes.
Creative Craft Skills (Fashion)
The focus of the NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Creative Craft is on the craft process, rather than on any specific crafts. 
Therefore the qualification is ideal for those who wish to undertake an introductory course to develop basic craft skills.
The Qualification aims to:
- enable candidates to develop basic craft skills
- provide candidates with underpinning knowledge of the creative craft process
- provide candidates with a basis for progression onto further study
